Shining Light In The Sky

The background story to this picture:

Let's start... A few years ago. I finally get to see all the episodes of Dragonball GT. My initial thoughts about the character Pan were, and are as follows: Stupid. Pampered. Crybaby. Spoiled Brat. Weakling. Useless. Pathetic. I dislike that character deeply. Like. Very deeply. As I have said to friends, she shouldn't have even been the third person on the ship and one of the main characters. She should have been a minor character with less time on. That way she wouldn't have seemed so pathetic. Either that or people should have made her a more brave and useful character. Her only useful trait were her tears only once, when she got her grampa Goku to transform into SSJ4.

Now. You are probably wondering by this point... Then why the fuck draw a tribute pick in her honor if you hate this character so much and whine about it, dumbass?! >:<

Well. Here's my answer:

Fast forward to the present day. An online fan comic, called "Dragonball Multiverse". A fresh new idea with quite the interesting plot, unique in it's own way and still mixing one of the fantastic old traits of the Dragonball anime trilogy: The tournament. But this one, a Multiverse one, where many warriors from different universes clash. You're wondering at this point where I am goign with this? Or maybe you have an idea?! Yep. you might be just correct.

You see, in Dragonball Multiverse, we see a bit of a different take on Pan. Not only that, but an alternate universe Pan (call her Universe 16 Pan or U16!Pan) to boot, coming from a universe where Goku and Vegeta never separated as Vegetto and destroyed Majin Buu. The two versions of Pan there look more acceptable. Fresh. They look happy and brave, no cry babying. And one of the most epic moments ever shown in the comic included Pan. When she fought against Bojack from an Alternate world in the tournament. Pan transformed into a Super Saiyan and gave Bojack (in normal mode) a run for hims money. It looked like she was in the lead when she hit the Kamehameha... But. Then Bojack transformed. And as we all know Bojack, transformed, is much more powerful than a simple Super Saiyan is. Pan became a lamb for the slaughter and was killed with a death grip, her neck getting broken.

Believe me when I say this: I twitched, seeing that. Sure. It wasn't scary, gory, flashy. But it was shoking, seeing this character die. I was in awe at how they did it in the comic, however, because it looked... Uhm... How should I put it? Peaceful? *thinks* I can't exactly formulate it.

But anyways, yes. U16!Pan was killed by Bojack from another Universe. I got sad about that, real sad. And felt like drawing a tribute picture to this Pan. And this is it.
